01 — Brand Overview
Who Is Zontes? Brand Story & India Journey
A Chinese brand punching well above its price — here is where they come from, and where they stand in India as of 2026.
📍 Founded 2003
Zontes is a Chinese motorcycle brand, fully designed, developed, and manufactured in China under Guangdong Tayo Motorcycle Technology Co., Ltd. — a company founded in 2003. Its main facility covers one million square metres and runs 16 robotic production lines, with 80% of components — including engines, frames, and electronics — forged in-house. Bosch supplies fuel injection and ABS systems.
🌍 Global Reach
Zontes is part of the Guangdong Tayo Motorcycle Technology group engaged in the production of large and medium-capacity motorcycles, sold in 55 countries including the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Brazil, Malaysia, and Thailand.
🇮🇳 India Launch — October 2022
In India, Zontes Motorcycles has partnered with Adishwar Auto Ride India and these products are sold alongside Moto Morini through Moto Vault dealerships. Units arrive as CKD kits assembled at AARI’s Chennai hub, which lowers import duties and allows for local quality checks and tuning for Indian fuel grades and roads.
📈 2026 India Status
Zontes crossed 5,000 cumulative India sales by 2025, with 2025 sales up 60% year-on-year. The dealer network has expanded from just a few outlets in 2022 to over 40 by 2026, spanning more than 10 states. The company targets a 10% share of India’s premium 350cc segment by 2027.

Every Zontes Bike — Full Specs, Features & Verdict
Detailed breakdowns of all five current models so you can find the one that fits your riding style.
Naked Streetfighter
Zontes 350R
Aggressive, lightest in the range, and feature-loaded — the gateway Zontes.
The 350R is Zontes’ flagship naked streetfighter. Its angular bodywork, twin LED headlights, and dual-barrel exhausts give it a presence that belies its ₹2.57 lakh price tag. The 350R is the lightest Zontes, tipping the scales at 180 kg, making it the most agile model for urban riding. In 2026 it remains the most popular model in Zontes’ India portfolio, competing directly with the KTM 390 Duke and BMW G 310 R while bringing segment-first tech neither rival offers at this price.

Faired Sports Bike
Zontes 350X
Most affordable Zontes — full fairing, 19L tank, unbeatable value.
The 350X’s 19-litre fuel tank, shared with the 350T ADV and 350T, should endow it with a near-300 km range between fill-ups. A full aerodynamic fairing wraps the same 348cc engine, and the 350X received a further price drop of ₹59,000 in 2025 as part of AARI’s India expansion, making it one of the best-value faired bikes under ₹2.5 lakh in the country. Rivals include the KTM RC 390 and Benelli 302R.

Café Racer / Neo-Retro
Zontes GK350
The show-stopper — wire-spoke wheels, J.JUAN calipers, twin exhausts.
The GK350 gets some aggressive styling, especially at the front, which makes it uniquely aspirational. It features tubeless tyre-compatible wire-spoke wheels, full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS. Styling elements include a round headlight, bar-end-mounted mirrors, and a twin-barrel exhaust canister. It is also equipped with a keyless control system and a tyre pressure monitoring system, as well as a five-inch colour LCD instrument cluster with customisable inbuilt themes. The J.JUAN four-piston radial caliper is hardware typically reserved for bikes costing twice as much.

Sport Tourer
Zontes 350T
Best mileage in the range — built for long-distance comfort.
The 350T is a touring motorcycle with a large 19-litre fuel tank, a prominent beak design, an all-LED lighting setup, grab rails with integrated top-box mounts, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, disc brakes with dual-channel ABS, inverted forks, and a mono-shock unit. The 350T’s kerb weight is 196 kg, and its approximately 40 kmpl claimed mileage gives it a theoretical range of close to 760 km per tank — the best fuel efficiency in the Zontes India line-up as of 2026.

Adventure Tourer
Zontes 350T ADV
Spoked wheels, bash plate, knuckle guards — the rugged, adventure-ready sibling.
The 350T ADV is a rugged version of the 350T with a sculpted 19-litre fuel tank, a sleek LED headlight, a stepped-up seat, knuckle guards, a tubular engine protector, a bash plate, wire-spoke wheels, a dual-barrel exhaust, disc brakes, dual-channel ABS, inverted forks, and a mono-shock unit. The 350T ADV is the only machine to get a 19-inch spoked front wheel with a 110/80-19 tyre, and both the 350T and 350T ADV boast 173 mm of ground clearance. The suspension travel is shorter than dedicated ADV bikes, so it is best described as a road-biased adventure tourer.

04 — The Platform
Shared 348cc Engine & Platform
One heart powers every Zontes sold in India — here is why that is actually a strength for owners.
348cc Liquid-Cooled Single-Cylinder
The 348cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine is good for 38 hp at 9,500 rpm and 32 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. Braking duties are handled by a 320 mm disc up front and a 265 mm disc at the rear paired to a dual-channel ABS unit. Every India-spec Zontes shares this engine, linked to the same 6-speed gearbox. Common underpinnings simplify spares and servicing. Engine reliability is warranted for up to 50,000 km.

05 — Technology
Segment-First Features on Every Zontes
Zontes offers TFT full-colour LCD screen, complete keyless controls, four ride modes, LED lighting system, dual fast-charging USB ports, tyre pressure monitoring system, and dual-channel ABS — all at a price where rivals offer none of these as standard.
Keyless Ignition System
Proximity-based ignition — no key insertion required. Walk up, press start. Zontes models feature a wireless key as part of their equipment specification. No direct rival in this price bracket offers keyless ignition.
5-Inch Full-Colour TFT Display
A large TFT instrument cluster with multiple customisable themes, automatic day/night brightness adjustment, and support for Bluetooth and screen mirroring from your smartphone to the display.
Smartphone Connectivity
The display connects via Bluetooth for incoming calls, through the Zontes Intelligence app for locking/unlocking and vehicle status, and via the Carbit Ride app for navigation, music, and Google Maps or YouTube mirroring.
TPMS — Tyre Pressure Monitor
Real-time tyre pressure data on the TFT screen. Keyless ignition and a tyre pressure monitoring system are features that haven’t been seen before on motorcycles at this price point.
Dual Fast-Charging USB Ports
Two USB ports (Type-A and Type-C on newer variants) for charging phones, GPS, and action cameras on the move — no aftermarket accessories needed.
Bosch Dual-Channel ABS
All India models ship with Bosch ABS 9.1M as standard. The GK350 additionally uses a J.JUAN four-piston radial-mount caliper — hardware seen on bikes costing far more.
Full LED Lighting
Complete LED lighting front to rear across all models. The upcoming 350E maxi-scooter takes this further with 4–6 LED projector headlights and automatic brightness sensing.
Multiple Ride Modes
Up to four selectable ride modes adjust throttle response and power delivery. This is typically a feature of motorcycles in the ₹8–15 lakh bracket, offered here at under ₹3 lakh.

08 — Honest Assessment
Zontes Bikes — Pros & Cons (2026)
A straightforward look at what Zontes gets right in 2026, and where it still has work to do.
What Zontes Gets Right
- Keyless ignition and TPMS at a price where no rival offers either feature
- Premium styling that owners consistently compare to litre-class motorcycles
- Full-colour TFT display, Bosch ABS, and LED lighting standard across every model
- Shared 348cc platform simplifies spares, service, and long-term ownership costs
- Multiple price reductions since 2022 — now genuinely competitive against KTM and BMW
- Large fuel tanks up to 19 L for class-leading touring range
- Dual fast-charge USB ports standard on every model
- 60% year-on-year India sales growth in 2025 — brand confidence is rising
- GST 2.0 benefits passed on to buyers, adding further price competitiveness
Where Zontes Needs to Improve
- 40+ dealer network is thin compared to 600+ for KTM and 2,000+ for Royal Enfield
- Service availability outside metros can be uncertain — a concern for touring riders
- Some early-batch owners reported inconsistent paint quality and minor electrical glitches
- 350T ADV suspension travel is shorter than genuine adventure bikes
- Chinese-brand perception remains a psychological barrier for some buyers
- Resale value is unproven — limited used-market data given the brand’s short India history
- Kerb weights of 180–196 kg are on the heavier side for the displacement class
09 — Final Word
Should You Buy a Zontes in 2026?
Our Verdict
If you want keyless ignition, a tyre pressure monitor, a customisable TFT display, Bosch ABS, and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity under ₹3 lakh, Zontes has no genuine rival in India in 2026. These are features KTM, BMW, Honda, and Royal Enfield simply do not bundle at this price. The GK350 is arguably the best-looking motorcycle available under ₹4 lakh in the country right now.
The caveats are real: the dealer network is still building, resale value is unproven, and early ownership has occasionally surfaced quality inconsistencies. If your city has a MotoVault outlet and you are comfortable with a younger brand, Zontes represents one of the most compelling buys in the 300–350cc space today. With the S350, 350E, and U1 200 all expected in 2026, the range is only going to get more attractive.
Best All-Rounder: Zontes 350R — the sweet spot of price, features, and character. · Best Looking: GK350 · Best Value: 350X · Best for Touring: 350T
